Mietta's Review
The Yellow artist's colony may have passed on to a better life but it's name continues in this very smart bistro with its even smarter food store where fabulous products are for sale at equally fabulous prices. George Sinclair's clean modern food is eclipsed by pastry chef, Lorraine Godsmark, who has markedly God-like way with desserts.

Gourmet Traveller 2007 Restaurant Guide "Yellow assigns itselfthe difficult briefofbeing a destination for breakfast, lunch and dinner, combining cafe and restaurant with a food store. While the aim is admirable, the result sometimes falls short of its target Play to George Sinclair's strengths and search out his signature composed salads, such as poached king prawns with julienne snowpeas, watercress and roast capsicum off set with the heat of nahm prik and crunchy fried shallots."

Gourmet Traveller Australian Restaurant Guide 2005 "Yellow almost does itself a dis-service by operating one of the country's smartest food stores as an adjunct to its restaurant/cafe. Top-notch dry goods line the shelves"
Sydney Eats 2005 "Yellow is everything you want in a smart neighbourhood bistro and then some. Its compact menu, sunny service and relaxed, intimate ambience are on the money. Plus, there's a deli next door for those who can't get enough of a good thing."
