Mietta's Review
Fish and chips on the terrace, restaurant dishes in the dining room with its marina views and glimpses of Moreton Bay. The restaurant, in the converted house, serves adventurous and rather ambitious Modern Australian fish dishes. You could always decide to keep it simple on the terrace out the back. In 06 mains averaged $27.

Courier Mail Food and Wine Guide 2009 Queensland Score: 13/20 "This lively seafood restaurant looks across the Manly Esplanade to the park, marina and Moreton Bay beyond. It's a popular spot, particularly on sunny weekends, so those not wanting to be relegated from the simply clad but ambient dining room to the far less glamorous rear courtyard would be well advised to book"

Courier Mail food and wine guide Queensland 2008 Score: 12/20 "Does the sea air build big appetites or do the yachties who moor at the marina arrive starving? Servings at this bayside corner restaurant are certainly robust and so, really, is the cuisine"

Brisbane News Dining Out Guide 2007 "Grab a cosy booth by a window or sit on the deck for a great view of Moreton Bay"

Courier-Mail Good Life Restaurant Guide 2006 "Fish Cafe has a lovely outlook over the Manly foreshore and out to the marina where boats are moored, and is popular with bayside dwellers and day-trippers."

Brisbane News Eating Out Guide 2006 "Nautical types like to sit on the terrace and dream about which boat they'd pick from the flotilla moored outside this seaside eatery, where the seafood is as fresh as you'd expect."

Courier-Mail Goodlife Restaurant Guide 05 * "At the front of the building, a converted house, is the restaurant, with a touch of the nautical in the artworks, while there's a casual fish and chippery in the courtyard terrace at the back. The menu drifts from seafood classics to mod-Oz"

Brisbane News Dining Out Guide 2004 "Bay breezes waft through the windows at this contemporary seafood restaurant housed in a renovated old home. Chef Travis Anderson's menu certainly errs on the contemporary side"

Brisbane News 08/04 Natascha Mirosch score 6.5/10 "Open all day from breakfast to dinner, it has a casual fish and chippery on the enclosed terrace behind, but we headed for the more sophisticated room-with-a-view at the front. Warm, dark wood and sea-inspired artworks fit well with its nautical surrounds and we sat speculating on the worth of the floating palaces moored outside."

Courier Mail, Cafe Society, Alison Cotes, 26/6/02. Score Food 18, Service 17, Ambience 17.

Wilsons Boathouse Queensland
It's well worth making the 30 minute drive to soak up the harbourside views at the revamped site of the former Eighteen Footers Sailing Club, now Wilson's Boathouse.
