Mietta's Review
The bamboo that was Chilli Jam has gone and a smart modern restaurant has taken its place. ModOz food from ex-Melburnians, Mary Morrison and chef Michelle Gordon-Smith, make the most of this prime spot on the Noosa River. There's an outside area for those that want to commune directly with the river and a separate bar area. You can BYO too. In 06 mains averaged $25.

Gourmet Traveller 2009 Australian Restaurant Guide "If you view simplicity as the ultimate sophistication you'll love Humid. Think polished concrete floors, leafy vistas through large windows and wooden furniture with the occasional cushioned banquette"

Courier Mail food and wine guide Queensland 2008 Score: 15.5/20, One Hat "It may be a little off the beaten track, but leaving the beach for lunch or dinner at Humid is well worth it. Opened almost three years ago by Michelle Gordon-Smith and Mary Morrison, who have both worked in other restaurants in Noosa, the first-floor venue sits among the treetops above a busy little general store"

Gourmet Traveller 2008 Australian Restaurant Guide "From its vibrant butternut pumpkin, goat's feta and roast beetroot salad to its treetop locale, this place has plenty of cool credentials"

Brisbane News Dining Out Guide 2007 "Owners Mary Morrison and Michelle Gordon-Smith have garnered deserved praise from diners and critics for their split-level, contemporary dining space and innovative food"

Gourmet Traveller 2007 Australian Restaurant Guide "Humid is a big, airy, barn ofa room with a kooky little bar and lounge area, and a short flight ofstairs leading up to the dining floor. The outlook is more about treetops than water, but view isn't such an issue when you can glue your eyes to their rabbit, leek and macadamia pie sitting atop a dollop of cauliflower cream, or crisp-fried pork hock with bubble-and-squeak and apple jus."

Gourmet Traveller 2006 Australian Restaurant Guide * "The quandary here is not what to have, but what to risk missing, so satisfying and dangerously tempting is the food at this newish Noosaville restaurant."

Courier-Mail Goodlife Restaurant Guide 2006 * "On the site of the old Chilli Jam Thai is Humid, a contemporary bistro in shades chocolate, latte and taupe. Wide windows frame the dining room on three sides allowing for cool, effective cross ventilation and tables are spaced nicely to give a feeling of roominess."

Brisbane News Eating Out Guide 2006 "A relative newcomer to the Sunshine Coast, there is nothing lukewarm about Humid. On the site best remembered as Paul Blain's Chilli Jam, Mary Morrison and chef-partner Michelle Gordon-Smith have created an industrial-chic space that is warm and inviting"

Courier-Mail Goodlife Restaurant Guide 05 * "It's now all style and space with muted earthy tones and a kitchen wall of steely blue that acts as a feature. The bar is down near the kitchen and tables are up a flight of stairs where you catch river breezes and sunlight through to the windows. The food is fabulous"

Courier Mail Good Life 19/10/04 Lizzie Loel "This is a great place with friendly service and simply great food, so go hungry and settle in for the big eat It's well worth it."
