Mietta's Review
You can dine inside or out on the terrace in this new and intimate restaurant on the main Noosaville restaurant strip overlooking the river. Suitably straightforward, well-executed Italian dishes create the ambience of this welcome addition to the area. In 06 mains averaged $26.

Other published opinions

Gourmet Traveller 2009 Australian Restaurant Guide "Pilu's sail-covered, tiled terrace at the front is just the place for alfresco lunching, while indoors the tables are laid with white cloths and there's a fireplace for chilly winter evenings"

Courier Mail food and wine guide Queensland 2008 Score: 14/20 "There's a tongue-in-cheek saying: 'the trouble with Italian is that six days later you're hungry again'. Not so at Pilu, where co-owner/chef Phil Scott's lighter, modern Italian cuisine is always well executed and guaranteed to leave you satisfied rather than stuffed"

Gourmet Traveller 2008 Australian Restaurant Guide "Bag a table on the terrace of this lovely riverfront restaurant with a glass of Chianti and a plate of eye-fillet carpaccio and you could be forgiven for thinking you were in Italy"

Brisbane News Dining Out Guide 2007 "With half of the seating alfresco and close to the river, this is an elegant dining environment"

Gourmet Traveller 2006 Australian Restaurant Guide "There's more to Pilu than may meet the eye. It's an attractive space, simply decorated, with the air ofan upmarket cafe, but any illusions of cafe-culture fare are dismissed the moment you land in the capable hands ofthe Pilu staff."

Courier-Mail Good Life Restaurant Guide 2006 "There are plenty of restaurants in this strip of Noosaville and it's an area which is well-known now for its quality restaurants. Pilu is a quiet Italian restaurant with a classic menu of contemporary Italian fare"

Brisbane News Eating Out Guide 2006 "You'll find contemporary Italian fare done well at this stylish corner noshery. Pastas with a twist are popular"

Courier-Mail Goodlife Restaurant Guide 05 "Pilu, a quiet little Italian ristorante with a classic menu, is at the upper end in the quality stakes. At night the lighting is subtle and the place feels subdued but the food, particularly the seafood and veal dishes, shine."

Gourmet Traveller Australian Restaurant Guide 2005 "Pilu has a tranquil ambience, especially at night when lighting is low and dining on the terrace is under the stars. Trouble is taken with the food and it shows in tiny details like the piquant candied zest sprinkled over the homemade ricotta and orange bombas. All the classics are given a run"

Brisbane News Dining Out Guide 2004 "This modern restaurant overlooks Noosa River, with plenty of alfresco dining, and mains average $27."
