Mietta's Review
Large chain restaurant that describes itself as Modern Australian/Mediterranean. So much for Italian! Inside and outside seating in the pleasant South Bank Parklands. Toscani's is open all day and is well regarded for breakfasts. Best to keep it simple. In 06 mains averaged $20.

Other published opinions

Courier-Mail Good Life Restaurant Guide 2006 "Toscanis was one of the first restaurants to establish itself at South Bank as apartment blocks and new shops went up around it. Breakfast is big here with the old favourites of classic bacon and eggs"

Brisbane News Eating Out Guide 2006 "Breakfast is a busy time of day here, but so is lunch and dinner. Large groups are easily accommodated in the alfresco area or the Tuscan-influenced interior"

Courier-Mail Goodlife Restaurant Guide 05 "You could do worse than start the day with a Toscani's big breakfast of bacon, eggs, chipolatas, homemade hash brown, sauteed mushrooms, grilled roma tomatoes and thick toast, or you could order that at any time until just before dinner. This is a cafe restaurant with lots of space and lots on the menu in the way of dependable food at good prices."

Brisbane News Dining Out Guide 2004 "The cafe has an excellent position, with seating for 180 indoors and out amid Tuscan-style decor. Around 30 Australian wines are available. Mains average $19.90."
