Tucked away from the bustling traffic and flashing lights of Surfers, the D'Arcy is a secret retreat for many locals 'A little bit of Ireland in the heart of Paradise'. The stone-walled building holds a tiny bar (replete with Irish paraphernalia, smooth Gaelic accents and a log fire which burns for six months a year), a rustic dining room and enough good cheer to warm many a traveler. It's hearty quality food - tender steaks with rich sauces, succulent seafood as well as Irish favourites. For entree, try Molly Molone's Scallops (Pan fried scallops dusted with cardamom served with potato croustade, topped with an orange butter and star anise sauce $10.90); Mains include Sasanach Fillet Steak (Prime fillet steak topped with a rich Stilton cheese, chive and port sauce $25.90) or Ballycanally Duck (Oven roasted duck served with a caramelized orange and cointreau sauce $23.50).
