Mietta's Review
A Queenslander just off Boundary Rd with a few tables in the front shaded by trees. Inside, up the stairs, there's another world - dark and cool with deep glowing red and yellow ochre walls. Its quite magical. However, the real world might intrude when confronting the queue waiting for the healthy food dispensed from behind the bar. A lovely place to visit.

Courier Mail Alison Cotes, 01-5-2007 Score: Food: 16 Service: 16 Ambience: 13 Value for money: 16 "All right, it's not posh, but it is quiet, relatively uncrowded (or is as I write this review), and the food is well-priced and of excellent quality. Give it a try next time you're shopping at the West End Markets. It's a minute's walk from the Mollison St entrance, and I can guarantee that the cat is harmless.

Brisbane News Dining Out Guide 2007 "As the name suggests, there's a great collection of cat decor from all over the world, and the interior is, well, jazzy, with polished wooden floors and paintings from local artists"

Brisbane News Dining Out Guide 2004 "Set in a converted Queenslander with a courtyard and abundant separate dining areas, the service here is usually friendly and prompt. Chef Michael Meredyth's menu has a cosmopolitan touch"

The Courier-Mail, good life, 9/12/03, Alison Cotes, Food 15/20, Service 14/20, Ambience 15/20,'The atmosphere is much like a radical university cafe of the past, with lots of little tables in nooks and crannies...have a fresh new feel, and the Jazzy Cat is now a West End cafe to look out for.'

Brisbane News, 19-25 Mar 03, Cafe, Ben Groundwater. 'Wonderful, friendly service. The food consists of usual cafe fare with some imaginative touches.'

The Courier-Mail, Good Life, 9/12/03, Alison Cotes,'It's good to revisit old friends, especially when they have a fresh new feel, and the Jazzy Cat is now a West End cafe to look out for.'
