The Age Clem Bastow, 12-6-2008 "But it's the interior of The Vic that is its real drawcard. Decked out with exposed beams and aged woods and metals, the mood isn't quite barnlike but it's not intensely "rustic" like some of its peers tend to be. The further back in the venue you move, the more relaxed you are - one imagines - expected to become. The front, near the windows, features spindly tables and stools, a little further back some comfy chairs, before the nearly-horizontal finale of booths, couches and banquettes. Little touches, like occasional DJs and cheap pizza nights, lift The Vic's offerings above the anonymous, and the drinks list - while it may not be the world's biggest - is thoughtfully arranged and reasonably priced."
