Mietta's Review
Big Harvest caterers moonlight here as a cafe - you can try their fare. Everything from breakfasts to bread based items to main dishes and even desserts. It's just a shopfront with minimal seating with minimally priced food to suit. Good coffee too.

The Age Cheap Eats 2007 "Away from Lygon Street's mayhem, this lo-fi cafe keeps everything simple, offering a handful of earthy meals like ricotta-topped pasta bakes and polenta with tomato and mozzarella."

The Age Cheap Eats 2006 Perch at the communal table in this caterer-cum-cafe or grab a crate on the footpath, then get down to business.

Age Hilary McNevin 13/10/05 "The kitchen almost spills on to the front counter at this tiny cafe where everything is made on the premises. A spinach and feta pie is a typically generous dish ($5). An enormous wedge of crispy filo is stuffed with salty feta and earthy spinach, rounded out with some onion and a touch of garlic."

The Age Cheap Eats 2005 "EVERY weekday these caterers open their tiny shopfront and dish out wonderfully robust food. There's plenty of scope for takeaway, but why not bump elbows with regulars at the rustic communal table or perch on a wooden crate in the sun?"

The Age Cheap Eats 2004 "BIG HARVEST is one of those blink-and-you'll-miss-it joints everybody seems to know about before you do. These caterers still supply office functions with delectables, but now welcome the public to taste their confidently homely wares."

The Age, Epicure, 25/11/03, Matt Preston,' the perfect place to go, as this is rustic, earthy food that screams honesty'
