Herald Sun Stephen Downes, 8-07-08 Score: **** "No need to spend your money at expensive eating places when Birdie Num Nums serves excellent, simple dishes with an exotic accent"

Herald Sun 8-06-08 "A sunny courtyard complete with sandpit will keep the kids amused while parents tuck into superior cafe fare, such as a Vietnamese calamari salad ($14.50)"

The Age Cheap Eats 2008 "Would you like your coffee by the sandpit? Nums Nums is one of those daytime gems that supply distractions for the kiddies"

Herald Sun Stephen Downes, 22-01-08 Score: 16/20 "Birdie Num Nums is one of the reasons most of us choose not to spend our hard-earned in Melbourne's expensive eating places. It serves excellent, simple dishes with an exotic - often Greek - accent. The limited wine list has many excellent drops at very reasonable prices. Six table whites and five reds are served by glass."

The Age Dani Valent, 15-4-2008 "The room is also spacious. There's paraphernalia from the building's original use as a butcher's shop: tiled walls, meat hooks and the original counter all add to the character. Whether you're sitting in or wheeling through to the yard, there's plenty of room for prams. A fireplace keeps things cosy in winter. Other child-friendly features are the change table and the free refill offered with every babycino. The hands-on owners of this cafe are John and Susie Rerakis, the founders of Brunswick Street's Piraeus Blues."
