Mietta's Review
What a fabulous spot for a cafe. Right next to the parking lot at Elwood Beach and with its own fenced Council playground at the back. Good for an unhurried breakfast and great for kids. Some say that the coffee is slow but when it gets to you it's good. Others describe Elwood Beach House as chaotic! "It's hopelesly inconsistent and the service is relentlessly hopeless." But this doesn't stop them coming back relentlesly because the kids love it, it's a great social event. Bookings are essential at weekends. Elwood Beach House is one of the only places parents can eat and drink on while the kids play safely outside. This makes it "absolutely compelling for parents", the cynical would even say that "it doesn't matter what you are served in a place which has that service attached!."
