Shoppers exhausted by their retail therapy in the busy Glenferrie Road shopping centre, head for Cafe Vamp as if it had an invisible homing beacon. Simple, unpretentious, friendly are the words that come to mind when thinking about this place with its poster-covered walls and smiling staff. Here you will find some of the best all-day breakfasts, an excellent selection of made-to-order sandwiches, deli-style dishes and arguably the best coffees and teas in the area. You might have to wait a few minutes for a table, but the house specialties, especially the marvellous range of egg dishes, are well worth the anticipation.
