Mietta's Review
A small book shop at the back and a cafe at the front provide comfort for mind and body. Breakfast is big till 2pm but there are always snacks and some more substantial dishes (up to $13.50). Excellent coffee, good ambience and service.

Other published opinions

The Age Cheap Eats 2006 this cafe now offers great Thai dishes cooked by the owner's wife, Noi. Stir-fries, green curries and pork mince omelettes have locals clamouring for more.

The Age Cheap Eats 2005 "Affable staff are on first-name terms with the regulars, who sit outside on leafy Bellair, or cosy up in the cluttered cafe and critique the abstract paintings on sale."

The Age Cheap Eats 2004 "JAZZ beckons passers-by into this split-level space filled with repro vintage posters, amateur artwork and blackboards advertising daily specials. A miniature bookstore up the back offers a selection of new releases."

Age A2 Thomas Hunter 21/8/04 "Some cafes just get the mix right - staff with personality, a caring kitchen matched to a casual dining room, which quickly makes them your preferred caffeine supplier. The Corner on Bellair in Kensington is one such place."

16/2/2003, By Dani Valent, Eat Streets, Sunday Life, 'This unassuming cafe and bookshop offers food that is simple and full of heart.'
