Mietta's Review
Chef, Rhy Waddington's dad converted the old barn into a charming timber restaurant. He describes his food as 'modern regional' which translates as European with Middle Eastern flavours and an occasional touch of Asian spice and elaborate presentation is the order of the day. Mains a dollar or so under $30.

Age Good Food Guide 2008 "Husband-and-wife team Jan and Rod Waddington - she's in the kitchen, he's front-ofhouse create comfort and good food as the gorgeous scenery of the remote Kiewa Valley plays backdrop to this rustic shed turned restaurant"

The Age Good Food Guide 2006 score 14/20 "What better way to spend an afternoon in the Kiewa Valley than in this charming restaurant, surrounded by native gardens and with stunning views across tumbling meadows? Chef Rhy Waddington keeps his menu taut, yet still manages to create some of the best food in the district."

The Age Good Food Guide 2005 score 13/20 "KERGUNYAH is an Aboriginal word for 'summer camping place' and once you've enjoyed a meal at this idyllic restaurant, you'd happily settle in for a while. It's a family property: mum runs the nursery, dad built the restaurant (in a refurbished barn with lovely views across the Kiewa Valley) and son Rhy cooks"

The Foodies' Guide 2004,Allan Campion & Michele Curtis,'A visit to Waddington's at Kergunyah offers two pleasures:an oppurtunity to wander through the terrific nursery and a chance to relax and enjoy a great meal.A huge timber barn has been converted into a rustic dining room and most of the fresh ingredients come from the vegetable garden. The menu takes a seasonal approach and utilises many local foods and products.'
