Mietta's Review
Readings at the old Port Melbourne Post Office is a really terrific bookstore and so too is its child-friendly cafe. Pause between browsing for breakfast, coffee, cakes, bread-based snacks or a more substantial dish.

Other published opinions

The Age Cheap Eats 2006 Kids and adults alike will enjoy this cafe's brunchy, home-style fare. You can sip your latte while the kids enjoy a story-telling session or play with supplied toys and crayons.

The Age Cheap Eats 2005 "THE question at this bookshop cafe is whether to browse or graze first. But you won't be in two minds once you catch a whiff of bacon and eggs, just-ground coffee and hearty minestrone."

Age A2 Thomas Hunter 21/8/04 "Foodaholics, meanwhile, can top up at Feedings, the in-house cafe. It's possible to stop here for a quick caffeine fix (the coffee is great, $2.80), a good breakfast (try the basque eggs, $8.90), or linger over something more substantial (check out the hot pot)."

The Age Cheap Eats 2004, Somewhere we can highly recommend,Excellent breakfasts,Good vegetarian options,'Maybe it's the children's paintings on the wall or the way the waiter remembers a face after one visit, but there's something wonderfully homely about this cafe of many guises.'

The Fooodie' Guide 2004, Allan Campion & Michelle Curtis,'This grand building was once home to the post office, but now it houses a beautiful bookstore, with a choice of light meals from a cafe hidden within.'
