Mietta's Review
A very smart Latin American themed cafe as the Cuban salsa pouring from the (South Yarra) Bang and Olufson hi fi, tells us. But it's well done. As is the short Latin (and local) inspired menu. Pleasant and patient staff, a very South Yarra clientele and Moet by the bottle if you need it.

Other published opinions

The Age Cheap Eats 2008 "No, no. Not Tex-Mex ... Thai-Mex. Was it part of C.C. Gaia's vision? A vision that's created a stark white gallery space with designer chairs"

The Age Cheap Eats 2007 "A cafe with a name that means mother earth' would normally serve up vegan carob cake. Not in South Yarra, where Gaia nourishes her children with local staples: Moet to start, anyone? Her short, light menu features Thai-Mex touches."

The Age Cheap Eats 2006 Its backstreet location means this cafe is virtually unknown outside postcode 3141. Yet the place is rarely empty, and the combination of all-white interior and cosy tables make it chic without being intimidating.

Herald Sun Cafe Culture Donna Coutts 18/10/05 score 16/20 "Light, delicious Latin American-influenced food in a slick cafe. Excellent service and reasonable prices."

The Age Cheap Eats 2005 "THIS is so South Yarra, darling. Cuban beats resonate from Bang & Olufsen speakers, poached eggs come with caviar"
