Mietta's Review
Torquay and Lorne share versions of this Asian influenced noodle bar that does all things to all people if they want Asian. Japanese, Thai, stir frys, you name it they do it. Bright cheerful atmosphere. Also 44 Mountjoy Parade, Lorne 5289 5215.

Other published opinions

The Age Cheap Eats 2008 "First impressions at Imperial Rhino could have you contemplating hoofing it to greener savannahs: dowdy sand-coloured walls, an institutional red-tiled floor and a menu offering stock Asian fare, burgers and dimmies"

The Age Cheap Eats 2007 "A contemporary alternative to many coastal cafes, Imperial Rhino is decked out with surfing photos and memorabilia, and offers Asianinspired dishes instead of the usual carb-heavy between-surfs selection (although traditionalists can still get a burger and chips or bag of dimmies)."

The Age Cheap Eats 2006 This pleasant shopfront is known for its noodles but there's more to it than pad thai, laksa, and mee goreng ... Kids have their own menu, and staff deliver enthusiastic service

The Age Cheap Eats 2005 "THIS bright and breezy venue is the ideal spot for seeing off post-beach hunger pangs. The menu focuses on noodles and Thai curries"

The Age Cheap Eats 2004 "WHEN it's busy, which is most nights in summer, the Imperial Rhino can feel like a crowded shed filled with steam and the sizzle of woks. You might find yourself knocking elbows with your neighbour at a long communal table as you plough through chicken stir-fry"
