Mietta's Review
There is a sense that Feedback Cafe is the hub of activity in Yarraville Village. Community notices are pinned up on the walls, people passing by, stop to speak with the diners on the footpath or stick thier heads in the door to send a salutation to the staff behind the counter. The food is simple yet hearty at low prices, mainly vegetarian, and meant to give its consumer sustenance. A hit with the locals.

Other published opinions

The Age Cheap Eats 2008 "Apparently neighbours don't talk anymore. You wouldn't know it at this buzzing west-side hangout"

The Age Cheap Eats 2007 "No matter that they'll be scoffing their fiery scrambled eggs and organic sourdough toast cheek to cheek with a cluster of their neighbours: Yarraville locals flock here for some of the hood's finest coffee, and perhaps to scan the community noticeboard for music lessons or yoga classes."

The Age Cheap Eats 2006 Word of a new owner sent ripples through the Feedback faithful, but, despite a few teething problems, little has changed at this retro-furnished cafe. With its brimming magazine racks, noticeboard and dog-eared children's books, it's still a hub.

The Age Cheap Eats 2005 "KITSCH is in at this bright, kid-friendly cafe, where naff vases, ornate plates and tic-toc clocks take pride of place on the mantel near the magazine racks. Even the display cabinet is retro, housing giant bowls of salad, home-made sausage rolls and spanakopita."

The Age Cheap Eats 2004 "TAKE one tiny shopfront and paint the walls orange. Cram in some jumble-sale furniture and a coffee machine, add a stack of children's books, bakelite kitchen canisters and streetside tables and you've got this knockabout daytime cafe."

The Age, Sunday Life, 5/10/03,'This kid-friendly tangerine cafe is where house-hunters repair to much huevos rancheros or falafel wraps with great coffee while lamenting Yarraville's soaring prices.'
