Mietta's Review
Relocated to a heritage listed building a few doors away Grand Palace has taken on a new lease of life. There are still views of the Swan River to go with stylish Chinese food. What has changed is the look and feel. This is a modern room without being overtly Chinese. The food is mainly Cantonese with forays further afield to Sechuan and the north. Service and setting are excellent and the food rather better than expected. It's the place for a special occasion, formal celebrations and romantic interludes.

Sunday Mail Gail Williams, 30-1-2008 "back to those ancient eggs and jellyfish. These were just some of the more interesting items on the menu at the Grand Palace, which, with its heritage-listed building and elegant touches courtesy of owners Wenny and Fai Wang, offers one of the classiest Chinese dining experiences around."
Gourmet Traveller 2006 Australian Restaurant Guide "Fai and Wenny Wang have given their born-again establishment a contemporary touch with chrome and black chairs, a mezzanine private dining room and a central bar, but recycled their hand-painted Taiwanese ceiling tiles."
Sunday Times Gail Williams 22/5/05 "AFTER decades of playing the Cinderella of fine dining in Perth the Chinese restaurant at last has its moment in the sun. And it's taken a heritage-listed building, a polished timber floor, crisp, white tablecloths, some potted palms and a team of elegantly decked-out staff to give this sophisticated cuisine an appropriate setting."
